We need to get off gas and electrify everything as soon as possible so we can power all our appliances with cheaper, cleaner renewable energy. Government should commit to making this transition as fast and affordable as possible by banning new gas connections to homes and subsidising homeowners and landlords with existing gas connections to rewire to electric. The negative health impacts of gas in the home should be enough to warrant a ban on new gas connections anyway!
